How to Get There

American Airlines offers direct service through San Juan, Puerto Rico, connecting with American Eagle. Many other airlines fly to San Juan or St. Maartin where you can take either American Eagle or Liat on to St. Kitts. There are also weekly direct charters from Boston, Chicago, Toronto, and London.

Taxi: Taxis are abundant and rates are regulated by the Government.

Car Rental: Renting a car or jeep offers the freedom to truly discover the secrets of this island paradise. We recommend and are happy to make reservations for you at Delisle Walwyn (465-8449).

They have a variety of clean, well-maintained vehicles, e.g. Suzuki Alto (small), 4 X 4 Sidekick (jeep), Mazda 323 (sedan) and for greater capacity 6 passenger Mitsubishi Spacewagon. The staff is friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. They will meet you at the airport, issue your island drivers license (US$20), and direct you to the villa. Renting from Delisle Walwyn entitles you to complimentary use of a car for the day on Nevis if you venture to the sister island.

Local residents are understanding and tolerant of tourist drivers, but remember driving is on the left, which takes a bit of concentration. The St. Kitts road system is very good and there is not much traffic except in the city of Basseterre.
